Dubai’s tallest building – construction update

'The Tower' will be 928 meters high and will replace Burj Khalifa (830 meters) as Dubai's tallest structure.

Now, the Dubai Media Office has released a video highlighting the construction progress of what will eventually be the tallest tower in the world, based at Dubai Creek Harbour.

News of the planned structure was announced earlier this year.

'The Tower' is designed by Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava Valls and will be the centrepiece of the Dubai Creek Harbour.

The ongoing development is managed by Emaar Properties.

The massive structure is intended to define Dubai to the world during Expo 2020, just as the Eiffel Tower defined Paris during the 1889 World's Fair.

'The Tower' will be 928 meters high and will replace Burj Khalifa (830 meters) as Dubai's tallest structure.

However, the one tower to put them all in the shadows will be the 'Jeddah Tower' in Saudi Arabia that will be standing tall at 1-kilometre height! It is expected to be completed in 2019.
